Why does Intense Debate bug me?

I have been using Intense Debate(the commenting system on my blog) for a long time now and i must say i am not all that satisfied with their service.. The first time i had problem , i asked the query to the guys in their forums and i got no proper response.I wouldn't leave it at that. SO i kinda pestered them and a particular guy there asked me to send him an attachment of my template which i did, accordingly.I got no reply from him whatsoever and he never bothered to even send a "I am sorry" note. This is what i hate in people. Why are people able to take accolades easily and why do they hate any problems? Why do people shun away from responsibilities?I don't really understand..Is this Human beings' common trait?hmm, whatever!

Okay, now please tell me if you guys like the commenting system. Based on the comments here and the poll i am going to place on the sidebar, i'll decide and will try to revert to blogger comments. Please have your say on this!

A leap forward

You all are aware of the fact that though i am not into vigorous blogging for about a few months now,I am still a blogging freak. Semester exams are just round the corner and as mentioned earlier, placements are coming this june. Probably in the midst of june, i guess. So, i must really concentrate on my academics and get placed in a decent company. Well, one thing i have not shared with my blog readers is probably about my future career. Not many know that i want to become an entrepreneur. For an egotistic person like me, team work wouldn't work. I like working independently, without anyone monitoring me. But for time being, i might work for a company for some 2 years and do what i like-blogging full time and developing stuff. Please understand that i am being very serious here.I have plans to become an internet entrepreneur and i know how the competition is like.If you are one, please take a minute to comment on the post and tell me your experiences.

I am not beating around the bush here.I am going to start a group blogging community in a few days. I have decided the name, too. But i'd rather not disclose it here, now. It comes out with a country specific domain. When the time comes and when i book the domain, i will make a special post on the group blogging venture. And as for the contributors, i have a few friends in mind who i really admire. But as the project needs more people,i am on the lookout for more interesting people. If you would like to contribute, please contact me by posting a comment. And don't expect me to choose everybody. I only want the best of the bloggers out there.

Here's a compilation of what you need to do and have, to contribute to my new blogging venture.

*Your English must be perfect. I can't accept sentences like "I can't able to" and "the reason is because".

*This will not be a technology blog. So a strict no to anything related to tech stuff.

*I would like to have straightforward, practical people work with me.

*The most important thing is , don't blindly comment on this post saying you would like to work with me or uttering unctuous sentences like "It would be my privilege". As i told before, i like frank people. I want one good reason why you want to be a part of the team. Also mention your forte and tell me which field you are strong in. If you thought you were an ashtavadhani(one who does many things at a time), then tell me so.

*When you post the comment, please make sure that you post links to 5 of your best posts(Original articles. I can't stand plagiarism)I don't really care what your pagerank is or how many links you have or what your alexa rank is or worse, your social networking and bookmarking statuses. All i need is some good content.

* And i love simple people. Pretentiousness is not what i expect from people.

* I know i can't satisfy everybody at the same time. So, if you don't get approved, just don't care about it. And don't send me comments and mails that say " you suck".uh,huh!

*While this venture will carry a .in domain name(obvious, silly), it's not that i am inviting only indian bloggers.Anyone's welcome to join the team. I would love a global response.

*I personally have a strong inclination toward satire and never fail to openly congratulate people who make me laugh.

*No poetry and short stories here please. That will come later.

*If you are a born critic and are a movie ,music or a film buff, you are welcome to post reviews too(as long as they do not carry already published content on the web).

*This is not restrained to young people only. Who said Grey-haired people don't stay in vogue?

Well, now that you have read all the aforementioned terms , if you REALLY feel like working with me is what you want to do, then go ahead, comment on this post and feel the energy pulsating.

For more information, just send a mail to me_myself_megalomaniac@yahoo.com

*I have decided to use wordpress as my platform and if you are a wordpress geek, please tell me as how to install the plugins. I have always faced this problem with WP.Why do they not accept javascript codes?:(

Yes, as i am taking a leap forward, all i need now is your support and feedback. Thanks a ton for listening patiently all along!

Ayn Rand and The Fountainhead

In an orkut community, i had posted the following comment in response to a post that eulogised Ms Rand .Here the big comment goes! Why don't ou have your say after reading my point? That might be great!

The Fountainhead is one of the best books i have ever read, no doubt. Miss Rand is a gifted story teller.Well, when i read the book few months back, even i was intrigued. Intrigued is too small a word. Disturbed is the word. Like, i got perturbed by the philosophy and felt restless. I began positioning myself as Howard and thought i were him. This continued for about a month or so. Now i have completely recuperated. Now, you may wonder why i have used the word "recuperated". If you are really a shrewd, wise person, you'll notice that her philosophy is sheer brainwashing. Don't be offended, people but this is the truth. One can't blame her for her exemplary writing skills, though.Sadly, India is the second largest country to follow "yet another philosophy"-Objectivism.One thing's for sure. You can't follow all the philosophies if you were to read books of the same genre. I read Dostoyevsky's "Crime and punishment" and yes, it affected me real bad. The philosophy it portrays is "existentialism". When you read another books that speaks at length about "communism" no wonder you might get addicted to it. This philosophy thingy reminds me of the various crushes we have in different stages of our lives. In my humble opinion, Objectivism is yet another philosophy. And yep, i hate Ayn Rand. But i love Howard Roark.

Objectivism might work real well with the Americans, but not here. We people are still dependant on a larger society and we were brought up the way foreigners were not. ANd if you notice something , Howard Roark is introduced as an orphan and he has nobody to care for him. That's the reason why his character remains cold and rude beyond words. When you have no friends , one day you might have this care a damn attitude(as in my case). Happens with evreybody. Yes, if a person is not loved, his thought process differs to quite a great extent. The anger turns to frustration and at one point, it becomes indifference and coldness. But here, in India, we people adore our families and they take care of us real well. What is the need to go for the inane philosophy then? The kinda philosophy that makes look at life as a delusion?the kinda philosophy that is in no way related to the way we live?the kinda philosophy that says "be selfish" and preaches people to think of themselves as the most important?the kinda philosophy that teaches people to detach themselves from a loving world(as in India's case)?the kinda philosophy that is far from reality?

And why do people think it's always great to act perverse?Does acting perverse get you the attention you badly want?Guess Rand did the same to get publicity. But, hey, is she an objectivist?;)Only second handers go for power and publicity, not Rand. certainly not Rand. Or did she just want to try it once just for the fun of it?hmmm..

Why do people get provoked when Ayn Rand's being hated?uh, huh! When i stop by forums that actually discuss objectivism, i am indeed surprised to find many sane educated people going absolutely insane.According to the same philosophy, is it not so that people have to mind their own business?and stay calm and imperturbable like Mr Roark?People, IMAO, Ayn Rand is a second hander. She needed power and she did the right thing to gain it. her writing skills glorified her.::Period::
